Prescriptions
Mexico has far fewer restrictions on drugs including Benzodiazepeins. When we vacationed in a resort by the Gulf-of-Mexico 20 years ago, anyone could go to a pharmacy, and talk to the pharmacist who helped advise you regarding what you did and did not need. Simple, Easy, Quick and Cheap.
For Previous Illness
Is it reasonable for anyone who is familiar with a prescription drug, and develops the same symptoms, to be able to renew a script without a doctor, or at least be able to get another script with a phone call to the Doctors office for a minimal charge?
Prescription Mandate
Doctors routinely require new office visits to extend Prescriptions. Is this fair of them to do so? Is this practice just so Doctors can increase billings or does it serve a greater-good purpose that we agree with? I am comfortable with my researching abilities and my own diagnoses. Unfortunately, until I can use labs directly, I have no choice but to see a doctor if my symptoms have multiple causes.
Medications
What if we have older medicine that was prescribed that we no longer need?
Expiration Date
Federal Law requires all medicines to be tested for loss-of-potency and toxicity for a period of 2 years. Many substances have a usable life much longer that 2 years. I laughed when I saw a container of salt having an expiration date.
Recycling
Suppose that it is legal to give or sell excess or no-longer-needed pills to the poor, or group homes. How do we protect the parties?
Giving Party
Document the transaction and obtain the receiving party.
Receiving Party
Obtain a certificate that the contents have not been adulterated, and receive assurances that the contents worked as intended.
Taking guns off the streets
Guns should be taken from people who have mental health issues. Media propaganda and misinformation can radicalize people. Any people that develop radical beliefs should be disarmed until they become realistic.
