Initial list of issues
Introduction,
This page is meant to be a beginning of the list of the kinds of issues that we hope to tackle as a group of citizens dedicated to coming together to find solutions for. We hope that these issues can be researched, discussed and come to a consensuses about regardless of party affiliations or political leanings.

There is a huge issue that needs to be addressed regarding the day to day operations of the United States. It's actually a group of issues. These things have long been considered to be non-partisan "bookkeeping" operations that neither side disagreed with and came together to do because they were that that were necessary to run the country. Bad actors in congress have now decided to use those issues as monkey wrenches to screw up the nation if they do not get their way.
The very first and most obvious monkey wrench is the debt limit/ceiling. Please see
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_debt_ceiling
and
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_the_United_States_debt_ceiling
For a far better explanation than I can provide.
The part I am railing against here is the republicans use of the debt ceiling as a political tool, calling it blank check and refusing to approve it unless they get something in return. It is only approving payment of bills that congress ALREADY debated and approved the spending for.
To put the ability of the United States of America to pay it's debts into doubt is as close to treason against the nation as you can get without actually aiding a particular enemy as it aids ALL of the enemies of the United States.
The next wrench is the bad actors steadfast refusal to follow the advice of the Social Security Administration as to the setting of the withholding required to keep the Social security fund solvent.
Certain "groups" in our nation sees the Social Security fund as a giant chunk of money they think they could "better manage" (read profit off of) the problem being that if they crash it, we are still on the hook for their profit taking AND keeping the Social security recipients off the streets and not starving.
I have run out of time to write this, but have the following links ready, these are all "first pass" links and I have not fully vetted them as to accuracy, please salt them as appropriate.

There are certainly more issues that USED to be part of the "gentleman's agreements" that kept the nation running that now thanks to the actions of bad actors need to be codified into laws , please help me by adding them here , or giving them their own pages and lionking thoise pages here.
If WE THE PEOPLE CAN present a united front to the politicians and convince them that we truly need to protect the day to day operations of the United States Of America from bad actors, we can get them to codify those needed actions into laws that cannot be used as leverage or monkey wrenches any more.
